Meet the Cast of Oliver!

Ivan Rate – Oliver Twist

Only a seventh grader at Sleeping Giant Middle School, Ivan is no stranger to the stage. Ivan has performed in many Young Actor’s Workshops, such as SEUSSICAL and THE WIZARD OF OZ due in part to his love of acting. In his first “big” show, MATILDA, he felt he had found “his people.” Now, Ivan returns to the Shane Center stage to sing familiar songs with new friends.

Clayton Oberquell

– Mr. Bumble

Though you may recognize him as the accompanist for the PHS and SGMS choirs, Clayton is a familiar face on stage, first performing at the Firehouse 5 in GODSPELL. In fact, he can’t stand the idea of not being in a show. From INTO THE WOODS to GREASE, Clayton has learned the art of theatre. Now, however, he is most excited to yell at the Orphans as Mr. Bumble.

Mandy Bowker – Widow Corney

A regular at Opera Montana in Bozeman, Mandy has taken on many different roles. By day, she stars as the fine arts assistant for the Bozeman Public School District. By night, she steps out of herself and into her often humorous characters. From LA BOHEME to CAMELOT to ANNIE, Mandy is a veteran of the arts. What makes this show special is the chance to perform with her family.

Finn Johnson – The Artful Dodger

It’s hard to see Finn as anyone else but the Pharaoh in this past summer’s Young Actor’s Workshop, especially for Finn himself. However, 15 year old Finn is excited to get a chance to sing his own songs as the Artful Dodger. It’s clear to see that Finn loves the arts, but you may not know he is a lover of History and a good Sunday afternoon walk.

W.R. Lewis – Fagin

Director Russell Lewis isn't sure anymore if there’s a musical he hasn’t produced and directed. He first tackled this show in 2008 at the Firehouse 5.
